The Product

The K-3 Hydrant Defender is designed to prevent unwanted access to the operating nut on hydrants. Equipped is a free floating shield and lock ring that prevents any external tampering. The reflective band allows for easy identification during night and low light conditions. USA made and compatible with 1.5" operating nuts. LOCK NOT INCLUDED.

How it Works

The cast iron adapter (figure 2) is mounted on the hydrant's operating nut and secured with 5 included set screws. The free floating shield is then placed over the cast iron adapter and fitted with a lock of your choice.

Compatibility

The K-3 Lock is compatible with all 1.5 inch operating nuts out of the box (1.25 inch adapter sold separately).
